Oh my God, living in New York. You have to be kind. I have to be honest about energy. Energy does make a difference.
I was sitting on the train talking to myself. I was about to write an article about dating and why no one wants to go out on a date, or why no one asks anyone on a date anymore. I was on the number 3 train, almost at the last stop, and there was a young man, LGBTQ, asleep. In my spirit I felt it was important to tap him. I had to tap him a couple of times. He woke up and I said, “Baby, don’t miss your stop.” Obviously the next stop was the last stop. LOL. He waved and blew a kiss to me.
I’ve been thinking to myself lately that my energy has been so prosperous. We all know the cliché thoughts about energy. You put that energy out and it comes back to you. I’m starting to believe it. I was with my best friend tonight and I was like, why is everybody looking at me? This evening everybody was saying hello to me and having conversations. Typically people are very uncomfortable having conversations with strangers, or even saying hello, goodbye, or have a nice day. I’m in the elevator in my building in Harlem constantly, and people don’t talk to each other. What is that about?
What I’m trying to say is your energy builds and creates your environment. I might have trauma, things that are troubling me. But I will say one thing. Because of my energy and the spirit of joy and happiness I’m putting out, it has come full circle. I want all of you to experience it. I used to frown all the time and be miserable, thinking about this dollar, this thing I don’t have, that thing I do have. I’d look at other people and wonder why I don’t have what they have. That’s not the solution to happiness. The solution to happiness is believing and exuding joy. When you exude joy, everything starts to open up for you.
So all I want for you, whoever’s reading this, is to think about your energy and your attitude. Someone pisses you off? Don’t get mad. Smile. When someone wants something from you, don’t be suspicious. When you’re out and about, smile. A smile is worth a million bucks, and I am positive of it.
