Amanda Lepore is releasing the first single from her soon-to-be-released LEPORE. album today. “Buckle Up” is a burlesque, retro-pop single, available for download NOW by pre-ordering LEPORE. (full e.p. will be available in February 2018).
“Get ready; you’re in for a bumpy ride,” says Amanda Lepore in “Buckle Up,” a ‘sexy, bubbly, track that takes on the night as she does. “And just as I am easy on the eyes, ‘Buckle Up’ is easy on the ears,” says Lepore.
“Buckle Up” was written and produced by RedTop (“Convertible”), Knifekick, Ted Ottaviano (Book Of Love), DJ Angelo “Pepe,” indie-pop ingenue Megan Vice and Lepore’s long-time musical collaborator, Bill Coleman from Peace Bisquit.
“Amanda is a woman who unapologetically owns her sexuality and is never afraid to flaunt what she’s got,” explains disco songstress Megan Vice on the inspiration for writing, “Buckle Up.” “I had that in mind when I first began putting pen to paper. I wanted the listener to get a sense for how that tough broad managed to carve out her own path to greatness despite all of life’s roadblocks. These days, it’s Amanda’s way or the highway, as it should be because she’s earned it.”
Amanda Lepore is over-the-moon ecstatic to share “Buckle Up” and all of her new music. “I cannot wait to share my new songs and perform them live!”
‘LEPORE’ the album is the first solo e.p. from the world’s mega-famous transsexual since “I…Amanda Lepore,” her acclaimed 2011 debut that featured the smash hits, “My Hair Looks Fierce” and “My Pussy.” It features four exciting new recordings that combine for what Amanda herself calls, a fabulous little party for the ears.
