It’s never easy to find an online magazine for gay men with an edge and maturity. However, look no further! The site for gay men with a maturity and edge has launched!

Corey Wesley and John Myers, launched a new online magazine, a magazine that will change how you view gay men. Gay men are more than sex. We are well-rounded individuals who have a variety of tastes in music, fashion and how we date. The typical gay websites only promote the stereotypes created by society.

Wesley and Myers never felt like they were a part of the community because of the images gay media offers or leads us to believe is the norm within our community. What’s normal in the gay community is far more complicated than society would like us to think and what gay media perpetrates.

We’re a diverse community of men who have different desires and interests. I believe that’s what makes us Kinksters. Although the word Kinkster might imply sex or kinkiness, we’re playing with the word. When you dig deep and pull back the layers gay men are more than the images gay media feeds us.

Loving yourself and being comfortable with who you are is the key to true happiness and leading a successful life. Success is never about fame, wealth or becoming famous for the wrong reasons.

Posting sexy images, shirtless pictures and watching porn is what society associates with gay men. It’s an unfortunate reality but one that we can change.

It’s not easy to accept that gay media is a part of the problem. It’s time we start building a community of gay men who no longer want to be defined by gay media’s images.

“As an African-American gay male, I know first-hand the damage that feeding into stereotypes can do. Feeding into stereotypes keeps us from true acceptance. I use the term acceptance loosely because it’s relative. Acceptance is an individual experience and looks different for each of us,” says Wesley.

Gay media plays a huge role in how we view ourselves and each other. It’s time we stop making everything about sex and instead show society that we’re caretakers, family-men, business owners, fathers who are driven and not defined by sex or a having a beautiful body.

We need more sites like Kinkster MAG, which don’t play on the pathology that all gay men think about sex.
