Society seems to have evolved but honestly it hasn’t. Views, beliefs and perceptions are still antiquated. Beliefs and the pathology within cultures to segregate communities have been passed down from generation to generation.
Such an evolved society lacks understanding prohibiting cultures to merge and masterfully become a true diverse society; a society rich and full of culture. My deeper appreciation for culture came when I traveled through Europe specifically Amsterdam where the idea for the website Kinkster MAG originated.
During my stay in Amsterdam I met many of the locals who were lovely. It were their uninhibited ideas about culture and life and their openness about life, sex and people that intrigued me so much that it left an imprint on how I would view the world and the ideas of others. The dialogues I had during my stay inspired me to look at the negative pathologies in my life and the society I live in.
Returning back to the states furthered my appreciation for the arts, culture, music and human behavior. The alarming realization I had was that as a society we’ve evolved but are still limited in how we view each other. Society is conditioned to label others and those labels often define us. It’s a pathology that has been passed down from generation to generation. Media is successful at pushing buttons because they use those labels to keep us segregated and divided.
Kinkster MAG is an attempt to push the envelope and give our writers the freedom to express themselves. The experience of being in Amsterdam (regrettably famous for “sex and drugs”) opened my eyes to what it means to be uninhibited. By now you should have a clear picture why our mag is called, Kinkster Mag; “uninhibited realness for culture kinksters.” Kinkster MAG readers have an expanded color palette when it comes to their opinions, the music they listen to, the art they view, their beliefs, and their experiences about life.
After landing from my month long trip in Europe the craving for a website filled with culture, diverse opinions, and real uninhibited conversations was something I could never find. However, I discovered a website that was aimed to creating new conversations.
